Grandpa strikes wife with axe on her head for refusing reconciliation A 78-year-old man from Gwanda has been arrested after he allegedly struck his estranged 79-year-old wife with an axe leaving her with severe wounds for refusing to reconcile with him following their separation. Matabeleland South acting provincial police spokesperson Sergeant Stanford Mguni confirmed the incident which occurred last Monday at around 2PM in Zhokwe Village. He said Bishop Sibanda followed his wife Mrs Agnes Sibanda to her family’s homestead and tried to persuade her to return with him to their matrimonial home. After she refused Sibanda struck her with an axe once on the head and hit her with the axe handle several times on her back. Woman strips n*ked in church, urinate on altar A 39-year-old petty trader, Moji Aderibigbe, accused of stripping n-ked and pouring urine on the church altar, on Friday appeared in a Yaba Chief magistrates’ Court in Lagos. Aderibigbe, who resides in Pedro Area of Lagos is charged with insult to a religion and disorderly conduct. The Police prosecutor, Sgt. Modupe Olaluwoye, told the court that the defendant committed the offence at 8 p.m. on May 13, at No. 49, Onabola St., Ladi-lak area of Bariga, Lagos. Olaluwoye told the court that Mr Francis Osibowale, the pastor of the Firebrand Power Ministry, caught the defendant’s 15-year-old son vandalising church property. “My Lord, when Aderibigbe was told that the pastor had taken her son to the station, she took off her clothes inside the church building. “She also climbed the altar and began to urinate,” she said. Serious flooding accompanied by fallen trees and electronic poles has trailed early morning rainfall in Lagos.    Several parts of Lagos State, on Monday, experienced flooding, fallen trees and broken electric poles in the aftermath of the rainfall in the state.   According to the Twitter page of the Lagos State Emergency Response Agency, @lasemasocial, a tree fell on a car at Kingsway road, Ikoyi. It was reported that no life was lost in the incident.   It was also reported that another tree fell along Toyin Street in Ikeja.   Meanwhile, Twitter users have been sharing photos of the aftermath of the rainfall across the state.   See more photos below:

16 year old girl has committed suicide in Kuching, Sarakwak in Malaysia, after an Instagram poll resulted to majority voting that she dies. The teenager identified as Davia Emelia‘s body was discovered sprawled on the road on May 13 at around 8pm, according to The Sarawak Tribune. She is believed to have jumped to her death from a rented unit in Batu Kara New Township. Authorities also found her Instagram poll which she posted prior to her death, Emelia reportedly created the poll at around 3pm on that day. The poll asked: “Really important! Help me choose D/L” “D” and “L” presumably stood for “die” and “live”. Apparently, 69 percent had voted for “D”.
